Note the Irish Independents insidious juxtapositioning of the two cases involving fathers below. The bad abusive and violent fathers case is top of the headlines, but not only that, it is also in Larger type script, while the caring loving father who is being deliberately sidelined and peripheralised comes second place. It is also interesting to note that a measley '236 words' are used to express this fathers positon while almost twice that '464 words' are used to demonise the other. 

I have wondered for a long time when the Irish media will act more responsibly in our society instead of what can only be described as lazy and sensationalist journalism. It is not a feminist raging rant about these fathers but it is interesting that the two journalists are male!!
